The Team
-
Name:
Jack Hawke
Role:Fabrication
The enigmatic man, hard to hold down and even harder to predict, Hawkey's laid-back approach to life often hides his sharp craftsmanship, problem-solving skills, and ability to generate endless original ideas. Slippery as a fish, strong as an ox, and free as a bird, Jack Hawke is an extraordinary fabricator, a material expert, and one of the great textile artists of our time. -
Name:
Jules Craft
Role:Communications
Disorganized, overly excitable, and supremely underqualified, the qualities Jules Craft lacks as a classic team leader/producer he makes up for with his volume, energy, and love for those around him. A jack-of-all-trades, Jules has achieved success in a variety of fields, including compeittive surfing, live drum and bass, content creation, and event management. -
Name:
Josh Mutscheller
Role:Design
A full-blooded German Capricorn born and raised in Hawkes Bay, Josh is our Head of Design and a confident tastemaker. With the power of 3D renders, graphic design, spatial awareness, and a downright stubbornness to deliver the ideas he believes in, he keeps the Department of Arts' brand on track and maintains an impeccable standard of work quality. -
Name:
Elliot Munford
Role:Fabrication
Born in Auckland, Elliot Munford is a talented carpenter, vinyl aficionado, designer, football player, and boasts a great smile and impeccable sense of style. With his direct message on Instagram, he showcased his determination to secure the job and proved to be a multi-faceted individual with a diverse range of passions and skills. Elliot brings a unique perspective and unmatched talent to the Department of Arts’s table. -
Name:
Sophie
Role:Mrozinski
Sophie, our talented assistant fabricator, brings a unique blend of skills and personality to our team. Born in New Zealand and raised in the UK, she brings international flair and a wealth of experience working on botique festivals in England. Her craftiness with materials and quick learning ability make her a valuable asset in any project. But what really sets Sophie apart is her calming demeanor, sense of humor, and overall easy-going nature - making her not just a great colleague, but a great hang too. We're grateful that the universe brought her to us just when we needed, as she truly fits like a glove. -
Name:
Asher Marshall
Role:Design
From Dunedin, Asher is a talented graphic and 3D spatial designer who caught our attention with his impressive portfolio of self-led design work. With a calm disposition and easy-going personality, Asher is a joy to be around and never fails to come to the rescue during pack downs. In addition to his design skills, Asher has a passion for electronic music and brings a rooster-like perspective to the team.
